All About Me

Hi, I’m Deanna Towns, owner and trainer of KYA FITNESS!

I am a certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CrossFit Kids Trainer and a NASM Nutrition Coach.

At age 12, I discovered fitness when I started running and lifting weights and I knew then that I had found my passion. I started KYA Fitness in my basement with one personal training client. It quickly evolved into multiple clients and their friends requesting classes.

Now, 12 years later, I have a 4,000 square foot gym and lots of clients, including many that have been with me since the “basement days”.

My style of training is movement.

I want to move all the time and I rarely sit down so I need to fuel my body with the proper nutrition...“You can’t out-train a bad diet!” I don’t want to use machines, I want to be THE machine. I want to be able to move and move well, with mobility, strength and quickness and that’s how I train.

It’s all about the intensity of movement and no two workouts are the same. I get up every day and I‘m so thankful that I can run and move...I don’t want to waste the opportunity to get stronger, faster and better!
